Best of Both Worlds

As you know, the web is a digital platform. Digital is great for distributing stuff - whether it's computer code, music, videos, or written content - but it's hopeless at monetization. The fact that it's so easy and costs nothing to make digital copies also makes it very hard to charge for those copies. Digital is a dual-edged sword.

We set out to solve this problem. We wanted to let people make their work available for anyone to incorporate or use, whilst making sure the owners of the work still got paid. And we wanted to do this for the whole web - not just for some small closed corner of it.

LM allows people to create applications which run in any browser (without plug-ins). These applications look more like desktop software than web pages. They are very intuitive - people can just drag and drop stuff to accomplish tasks, instead of having to click on specific links or buttons. This also makes the interface very clean.

LM applications are constructed like Lego from lots of building blocks. The blocks can contain code, content, media, anything... For the first time, applications can be combined with each other to create evermore powerful/useful applications.

And regardless of where your work ends up, the platform knows it's yours. So if you choose to charge for your work, the system will make sure you get paid whenever it's used.

How's that for having your cake and eating it?
