David Semeria studied Software Engineering at Imperial College London before moving to Italy to work for a small financial company. Over the next five years he created an interactive database system for financial analysis, and developed the concept of 'amorphous software'.

After watching the film Wall St he decided he wanted to become a stockbroker - so he did. But after watching Trainspotting he decided that being a stockbroker was actually quite boring - which it was.

So after more than 10 years being an analyst-broker he went back to programming and used his earlier ideas to create LM, a general purpose system for creating, deploying, and monetizing code and content

David now works full-time on LM and still lives in Milan, with Maryna and his two boys, Eddie and Freddie.

He believes the best thing about leaving finance and working for himself is that he can now get out of bed when he likes and grow his hair very long. Both of which really annoy his mother.
